Getting started

OmniBandBridge (OBB) turns your Xiaomi Mi Band 8-9-10 into a real-time running footpod and can also bridge a treadmill’s speed & incline. This page is a placeholder outline of the steps — detailed guides will follow.

(Google Play link — coming soon.)

Enter your Auth key (obtained during pairing with Mi Fitness). It is stored only on your device and used solely to talk to your band — it is never sent anywhere.

Start a run/treadmill workout so the band enters footpod mode and begins streaming cadence, pace and stride data.

Choose the broadcast method:

  • Bluetooth — OBB appears as a BLE running speed & cadence sensor.
  • LAN — exposes a virtual FTMS / RSC sensor to apps like Zwift over the LAN network.

Feed treadmill speed & incline from an FTMS sensor or enter it manually — OBB can be used purely as an FTMS/treadmill bridge.

At the end of a workout, export TCX / CSV / FIT (with advanced metrics) or auto-upload to intervals.icu / Strava.
