Privacy Policy

OmniBandBridge (“OBB”, “we”, “us”) is built local-first. Your training data stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive). We do not store your workout data on our servers.

This policy explains what data OBB processes, where it stays, and the third parties involved.

Data processed on your device

Workouts & metrics — cadence, pace, stride, running/metabolic power, heart rate, footpod and treadmill data — are recorded and stored locally on your device. You can export them (TCX / CSV / FIT) or upload them to services you connect (intervals.icu, Strava, Health Connect, Google Drive).
Auth key — the key obtained when pairing with Mi Fitness is stored only on your device and used solely to communicate with your Mi Band. It is never sent to us.
AI Journal — the optional local server runs on your device over your LAN; data is shared only with the AI model you configure. Nothing goes to our servers.

Health & fitness data (Health Connect)

If you enable it, OBB integrates with Android Health Connect to read and write health and fitness data on your device:

Read (to personalize the metabolic-power model and workout metrics): weight, height, resting heart rate, heart rate, VO₂ max.
Write (to save your recorded workouts): exercise sessions, distance, total calories burned, steps, heart rate.

This data is processed locally, under your control, only to provide the app’s features. We do not transmit your Health Connect data to our servers, and we never use health or fitness data for advertising or share it with third parties for advertising. You can revoke Health Connect access at any time in Health Connect settings, and OBB’s use of Health Connect complies with the Health Connect Permissions policy, limited to the permissions listed above.

Location data

If you use outdoor (GPS) activities, OBB uses your device’s location only while the activity is running to compute speed, distance and route. Location is used on your device for the workout recording and is not sent to our servers or used for advertising. OBB does not request background location. On older Android versions (API ≤ 30) the location permission is also required by the system for Bluetooth scanning; OBB does not derive your location from Bluetooth.

Accounts (optional)

If you create an account or become a Supporter, we process the minimum needed to manage it:

Account: your email address and authentication data, stored by Supabase (our authentication & database provider).
Entitlement: your subscription/purchase status (free / supporter), received from the payment provider.
Payments are handled by a Merchant of Record — Lemon Squeezy on Android/web and Apple on iOS; we do not receive or store your full payment details.

We do not upload your training data to run an account.

Third-party services

Depending on the features you use: Google Play / Apple App Store, Lemon Squeezy (payment Merchant of Record), Supabase (accounts), and any service you explicitly connect (intervals.icu, Strava, Google Health Connect, Google Drive). Each has its own privacy policy.

Ads & analytics

OBB contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not build advertising profiles from your data.

Data retention & deletion

Local data: stays on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall OBB.
Account data: you can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app, or by following the instructions on our Account & Data Deletion page. Deleting your account removes your profiles record and authentication data from Supabase.

Your rights

Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. For any request, contact us at the address below.

Children

OBB is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
